Staff from El Centro’s Olathe office and the Promotoras de Salud program hosted a table at the Comanche Elementary School Cookout earlier this month. Comanche hosted the cookout for its students and held a resource fair to inform parents about community programs like the Health Navigation and the promotoras’ Comiendo Rico y Sano program available at El Centro. Carmelito the Clown, Overland Park Police Department S.W.A.T. vehicles, and the Kona Ice snow cone truck provided entertainment for the families as well. Thanks to our friends at Comanche Elementary for allowing us to be a part of a fun and informative evening.
