Resource Development Specialist
Reports to: Vice President of Community Engagement
The Resource Development Specialist’s (RDS) primary focus is to help raise funding for El Centro to help the organization grow and meet its mission. This is done through researching funding opportunities, writing powerful grant proposals that lead to funding, engaging with corporations and donors, and completing grant reports that finalize projects and leave lasting relationships in good standing with funders and donors for future growth and continued collaboration. The RDS should have strong written communication skills, experience in writing successfully awarded grants, background in fund raising with corporate partners and individual donors and demonstrate solid organizational and time management skills.
Academy for Children
Preschool Teacher
Reports to: Director of Academy
The classroom teacher is responsible for developing and implementing a quality research-based dual-language instructional program that ensures that all students meet the Early Childhood Education standards and are Kindergarten ready upon exiting.
Access
Access Specialist
Reports to: Director of Access
The Access Specialist provides direct enrollment assistance to clients, offering support by screening and assessing eligibility for insurance and public services, educating clients about eligibility and rights to enroll in services, assisting with the application process, providing follow-up with the client as needed, and ensuring the client understands how to best utilize the service and benefit for better access to healthcare and other services in the community.
Empowerment
Promotora Program Coordinator
Reports to: Director of Empowerment
The Promotora Program Coordinator at El Centro, Inc. supports the daily operations of the Promotoras de Salud and Community Mobilizers programs in Wyandotte and Johnson Counties. Key responsibilities include recruiting and training Promotoras, maintaining accurate records, coordinating event planning and logistics, building community partnerships, and assisting with data tracking and reporting. This role requires strong abilities in community education, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, as well as cultural competence and fluency in Spanish and English. A minimum of a high school diploma and 3–5 years of relevant experience is required; a degree in a related field is preferred.
