The Mexican American Softball Association (MASA) Fast Pitch Leagues invites all former Fast Pitch Softball and Baseball Players to enjoy a documentary film, video tour of Kansas City Museum exhibit, and a sharing of experiences from former Mexican American ball players.  The presentation and discussion is being lead by El Centro Board Member, Dr. Gene T. Chavez.

Presently, Dr. Chávez is an adjunct professor at Webster University—Kansas City in the Masters of Arts in Counseling program and a lecturer for the Kansas Humanities Council.  In addition, he conducts workshops and seminars regionally and nationally on issues of diversity.  As an historian, he has been curator for exhibits of Mexican arts and culture.  Dr. Chávez is well known for documenting the life experiences of Mexican and other immigrant groups in Kansas, Missouri and the Midwest Region.

Please make plans to join us from 10 a.m.to Noon on Saturday, March 12th at the South Branch (Argentine) Library in Kansas City, Kansas. Refreshments will be served and there will be activities for children.
