Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) is an immigration relief program launched in 2012 through an executive action from President Obama.  People who qualify for DACA receive a 3 year renewable work permit, a social security number, protection from deportation and are able to apply for a driver’s license in almost every state.

Last Saturday, we held a free event in Olathe to help people apply for DACA and get free legal advice from immigration attorneys.  With the help of our volunteers, we were able to assist 60 individuals with the DACA application process.
