El Centro staff members sold bottled water and collected donations for the Olathe Mayor’s Christmas Tree Fund at Olathe Summerfest last weekend. The event was billed as a celebration of community and music and featured face painting, food trucks, and kid’s activities. Local Beatles tribute band Liverpool headlined the show.
The Mayor’s Christmas Tree Fund provides grants to local non-profits (including El Centro) to benefit Olathe children and families. Thanks to the generosity of the Summerfest crowd, over $800.00 was collected for the fund.
